Mother's Day

     Hope everyone had a happy Mother's Day!

     On Saturday, all of my sisters, my mom, my grandma and I all went to an absolutely beautiful park and had a little bit of a photo shoot. We had a lot of fun!
    
     After that, we went to a Ladies' Tea at my church. I think for some of the ladies, the chocolate fountain was a highlight :D. A few of the little girls got quite messy, and my little sister, Megan, could've watched the chocolate flow for hours!

Jubilee Shalom Duggar

I just finished watching the last episode of 19 Kids and Counting, where the Duggars find out that Michelle miscarried their 20th baby. It was so sad. And it was amazing how Mr. and Mrs. Duggar reacted when they found out... "The LORD giveth, and the LORD taketh away; blessed be the name of the LORD." said Mrs. Duggar. And then they prayed. You know, sometimes it can be easy to forget that the Duggars are real people, with real sorrows, joys, struggles, and triumphs. But it this episode, it was amazing to think that this response wasn't staged. It wasn't written. It was the immediate, natural response of God's children to turn to Him in their grief.

This was taken on Christmas day. Grandma's friend, Harold, hooked up his tractor and pulled my sisters and I around in the sleigh. It was fun... but I kinda wished it could go faster :).

Hi! Sorry I haven't posted anything (or the pics) lately. Oh - about the pics, I'll probably post them tomorrow, so hang on!

Tonight, Daddy wasn't able to make in home for supper, so my three younger sisters (with help from Mom, of course), prepared supper, and then served it. That was sweet! The "catch" was, though, that Jess & I had to clean the kitchen. hehehehe :D

Then, later tonight, I was practicing on the piano so I can play it at the nursing home next month (a group from my church goes there every 1st Sunday of the month), and Karissa and I sang together while I played. It can sorta mess you up when you're playing if someone's singing. I don't really know why - it just does.

I'm REALLY nervous about playing... I keep trying to tell myself that the people at the nursing home probably wouldn't mind if I messed up, but I'm still really nervous! I guess I need to remember that I need to be doing this for Christ, not for men.

The Canterbury Tales

I just started to read the Canterbury Tales, and realized it's 542 pages of poetry (with 84 pages of prose). That's pretty intimidating, especially since it's an older book. I have nothing against poetry (I love it!) but after reading 542 pages, I wonder how long it'll take me to be able to read prose without automatically trying to apply rhythm to it?
