New Stuff

     Hullo! Just a post to clue you in to a few new things. For one thing, I have added a new page, "Writing, Novels, Etc." This is for all those writing linkups my sister has been pressing me to do, as well as for just my writing stuff in general. The "Home" page is going to be for all the other posts on my blog.
     And for the other, I am going to be changing my url to "all4him96.blogspot.com." And, that would be about it. Thanks for reading!

Construction!

     I decided I'm going to change my blog - the appearance, title, and url. I won't change the url right away... but here's a heads-up. Thanks to all my readers!

Writer Linkup: Character Encounters

     Soo... my sister locked me up and wouldn't let me out until I promised to do a linkup. She thinks she's my writing coach, apparently -_-. Ah, well, I guess that's ok.
     Anyway, this linkup is called Character Encounters, from over at a blog called Knitted by God's Plan. I'm supposed to write a blog post where I encounter my character in real life, and this month, I'm supposed to encounter her in my back yard. So, here goes.

                         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     I walked out onto the front porch. I wasn't really sure what I was going to do, but I felt like going outside for the moment. Boy, though, it was hot!
     I decided to take a little walk around the house. I went cautiously, because you never know when a snake'll pop up right in front of you (it has been known to happen before). I emerged from behind the cement retaining wall to find a person standing there. I had never seen her before. Maybe she was someone from my neighborhood I hadn't met yet? All of a sudden a thought hit me: she looks exactly like Diane. Mousy brown hair, about the same height. I couldn't believe it. So, I just did what seemed natural.
     "Hi, how are you?"
     "Alright."
     "Seen any snakes around?"
     "Snakes?"
     "Yeah, there's snakes around here. Mostly garters; but I hate all snakes. What about you?"
     "Kinda. I try not to be. I haven't seen any snakes in a while; I've been on the road, trying to find out about my dad."
     "Your dad? What happened to him?"
     "It's kind of a long story. He went missing in action in the military a long, long time ago and I want to know more."
     Just then, it began to rain. It really wasn't too surprising, given the humid weather, but it did begin quickly, all at once.
     "You can come in for a minute, if you want," I said.
     "Thank you, but no thank you! I need to get going, anyway."
     "Alright, well, have a safe trip! I hope you find what you want to know!"
     "Thanks!" She shouted, and ran off.
     I never really did find out what she was doing in our back yard.
                         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

     There it is. I hope you all enjoy!
