Which book I picked & Skiing

Since, with the pole, it was a three-way tie, I decided I'd pick from those three books. Finally, I settled on "Stepping Heavenward." You know, (well, I guess you don't), Mom had at least started it about 8 years ago. She didn't really enjoy it very much; she hates it when people die in books. Anyway, today I found the bookmark where she'd left off! That was pretty funny. So far, I've really enjoyed the book. I really like how the author compares the Christian life to some of the examples that the Bible gives. For example, at one point ("Stepping Heavenward" is basically a girl's diary), she says that she feels like she's in a race. In the book of Corinthians, I think, Paul compares the Christian life to a race. I just thought that was neat. I hope what I typed made sense :).

On Sunday, again, we went skiing. I was better this time; I only fell 2 or 3 times. It was fun! Emma and Mom came this time, too. I was surprised how much Emma liked it; she gets very, very, very nervous with things like that, even really panicky. On the last run that Dad took Jess and I on (everyone else had gone home), we'd just got on the lift, and were suspended in the air when it stopped. It didn't start back up for about 15 minutes! That was really frustrating! Dad had to get up early on Monday, and I was getting cold. Apparantly someone had gotten hurt or something. Finally, it started to move - right after I'd said that I'd take a nap and to wake me up when we got to the top. LOL! Every thing else was fun. Even when Dad took me on the terrain park (though I didn't go over the bumps). The scarriest part about the terrain park was that, at the top, there was a bit of a drop at the edge of the trail.

In Christ Alone,
